After a couple of long portages, my brother-in-law said “Anyone want a peanut butter cookie?”. I had just pulled out a bar of very yummy Lindt chocolate to offer as well. Someone in our group wanted both, so she made a cookie sandwich.
The best discovery yet!
I have introduced many people to this amazing combination.
Steps
Take two peanut butter cookies and put a square of chocolate in the middle. If you are not super hungry, you can have it as an open face sandwich; just pop a square on top of a single cookie.
My mom always made peanut butter cookies when I was a kid. I have included her recipe here.
Ingredients
Combine:
¾ cups oil (canola)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter
Combine:
1 ¾ cups flour
½ tsp salt
2 tsp soda
1 cup Quaker Oats
Instructions:
Combine and bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
I do a rounded tablespoon and flatten lightly in crisscross pattern with a fork.
